While we await the Truist Championship, let’s take a look at Cameron Young’s Cadillac Championship-winning bag.
The three-time PGA Tour winner has been on an absolute tear as of late. His latest stretch includes a T-7 finish at the Genesis Invitational, a T-3 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a victory at THE PLAYERS Championship, another T-3 at The Masters and then obviously he would go on to win the Cadillac Championship.
So, what exactly has Young been playing with while on such a dominant run? (RELATED: Series 1 And 3 Irons: Here’s Everything You Need To Know About McLaren Golf’s First Clubs)
Since winning THE PLAYERS Championship in March, Young has only made one change with his clubs. In an attempt to gain more height into the Augusta National greens, Young partnered with J.J. Van Wezenbeeck of Titleist to replace his GT1 hybrid with a GTS3 7-wood.
While there’s no technical details available yet, Young’s GTS3 7-wood has a face that is also bright colored like his prototype GTS 3Tour 3-wood, which could indicate additional loft that helps golfers with extra ball coverage.
The remainder of Young’s arsenal hasn’t changed with his GT3 11.0-degree driver, custom 631.CY irons and Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R putter still in his bag.

Cameron Young is arguably the best player in the world right now not named Scottie Scheffler, and here’s what makes him even scarier.
Consistency in the bag often mirrors a clear mind. In an era where players are constantly chasing marginal gains by swapping shafts and loft settings every week, Young‘s bag is a time capsule. Keeping the GT3 driver and 631.CY irons locked in shows a level of comfort that should terrify his peers. He’s looking for minimal answers because he’s already found them in his swing.
I might have to put Cameron Young in my Truist Championship betting strategy based off this alone, because honestly, how could you not?
