Disney+ is expanding its content offering in Mexico through a new agreement with TV Azteca.
Under the new deal, the upcoming season of “MasterChef México 24/7” will be available on the Disney+ platform starting May 17 alongside TV Azteca’s airings of two-hour primetime episodes. The show, from Banijay Americas’ EndemolShine Boomdog, is touted as “a first-of-its-kind fully immersive experience combining culinary competition with 24-hour participant interaction.”
“MasterChef 24/7” is patterned on the round-the-clock “Big Brother” format. According to the show’s logline: “For the first time, contestants will live, train and compete under one roof in a purpose-built environment designed to elevate technique, mentorship and professional development. The format increases transparency around the discipline and craft required to succeed, shifting the focus from observation to skill-based progression.”
Additional TV Azteca content that will be available on Disney+ beginning in May includes telenovelas “Mirada de Mujer,” “Cuando seas mía” and “La Loba,” as well as all seasons of “Doctora Lucía” and “Lotería del Crimen.” More reality shows from TV Azteca also will be coming to Disney+ in the future.
As part of the distribution agreement, Disney+ recently added three live channels from TV Azteca International: Azteca UNO, Azteca Deportes Network and Corazón, bringing together a slate of local fiction and nonfiction content, sports events, news and entertainment programming to subscribers in Mexico.
The companies’ expanded pact builds on their previous relationship, which include reality shows like “La Academia” (2024) and “La Granja VIP” (2025) on Disney+ Mexico.

TV Azteca joins a group of free-to-air broadcasters that Disney+ works with globally including XSports in Brazil; Atresmedia and RTVE in Spain; ITVX in the U.K.; ARD and ZDF in Germany; SIC in Portugal; and TVING in Japan.
