Warner Bros.’ Spanish romantic dramas “All That We Never Were” and “Ask Me What You Want” have struck major sales deals.

International sales agent FilmSharks reports that all North American rights to romantic drama “All That We Never Were” (“Todo lo que Nunca Fuimos”) sold to Berlin-based Capelight Pictures, which also picked up Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Leading Russian distributor Nasche Kino picked up rights to Russia/CIS.

Warner Bros. releases the Jorge Alonso-directed pic starring Spanish heartthrob Maxi Iglesias in Spain on June 6. The adaptation also stars Margarida Corceiro (“Punto Nemo”) and Sebastián Zurita (“How to Survive Being Single”).

Shot in San Sebastián, Zumaia, Zarauz and Madrid, it revolves around Leah (Corceiro), a young aspiring painter who is trying to recover after the devastating accident that took the lives of her parents.

Mediawan has snapped up all rights to French-speaking territories for erotic romance “Ask Me What You Want” (“Pideme lo que quieras”). Blue Swan acquired it for Italy. The rest of the world has already been sold.

Drama follows powerful businessman Eric Zimmerman who after his father’s death begins a dangerously seductive affair with Judith, a spirited young woman drawn into his world of erotic games, hidden secrets and emotional obsession.

“All That We Never Were,” the film adaptation of Alice Kellen’s bestseller, published by Planeta, was produced by Versus Entertainment, Lyo Media and Bixagu Entertainment, in co-production with Elephantec Global and CRE84U, with the participation of HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures Spain.

It’s the first installment of Kellen’s bestselling “Let It Happen” duology. Her second book, second book, “All That We Are Together,” is her second most-read novel. She is known for her stories that deal with universal, crossover themes of love and friendship.

The film is based on Megan Maxwell’s best-selling book saga with over 7.5 million copies sold worldwide, with sales particularly strong in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.

The adaptation of “Ask Me What You Want” is directed by Lucia Alemany. Versus Entertainment, LyO Media and 4Cats Pictures produced it with Warner Bros Spain, which released it wide across Spain in late 2024.
