Republican Georgia Senate candidate Mike Collins’ campaign account mocked an alleged Matt Lauer rape victim.

The post from “@TeamOverhaulGA” came in response to political consultant Luke Thompson sharing poll results that showed Collins holding a five-point lead over Dooley in Georgia’s GOP runoff races. (RELATED: Trump Faces His Next Midterm Powder Keg In Georgia)

Thompson wrote in a Friday post on X, “48 hours later and the Collins lead has cut in half. Dooley beats Ossoff. Collins can’t. Not hard to understand.”

Thompson is married to Brooke Nevils, the former NBC staffer who was allegedly raped by Lauer. (RELATED: Ronan Farrow’s Book Claims Brooke Nevils Attempted Suicide, Was Hospitalized Following Alleged Rape By Matt Lauer)

Nevils reportedly developed post-traumatic stress disorder following the alleged rape by Lauer, according to details from journalist Ronan Farrow’s book “Catch And Kill.”

In the now deleted response to Thompson’s post by Collin’s campaign account wrote, “Matt Laurer’s sloppy seconds take an L.”

The Caller obtained an image of the post before it was removed.

The Caller also obtained a screenshot of another X post from Collins’ campaign account targeting Thompson, which read, “Luke is a Yankee with poor judgment on women and GA politics. But in lieu of his opinion, here’s some data on general election performance. Collins is strongest.”

In a public response to the reply by the campaign account, Thompson wrote in a separate post on X, “Collins surrounds himself with unprofessional and incompetent cretins. This is not a team capable of holding its own against the Ossoff war chest. Just a deeply stupid group of low-grade operators.” (RELATED: Georgia Voters Force Runoffs In High-Stakes GOP Primaries)

Brenden Dilley, a consultant who is paid by Collins’ campaign, later responded to Thompson’s reaction to the Collins campaign account’s post.

In an X post, Dilley shared a GIF depicting a train crashing into the side of a mountain because the tunnel was too small, tagged Thompson, and wrote, “Does this mean anything to you?”

Dilley owns his own consulting firm, Rock Bottom Publishing, which is also listed in connection with his work. The company has received payments from Collins’ Senate campaign, according to campaign finance documents and Federal Election Commission (FEC) records obtained by the Caller.

Dilley’s affiliation with the company also appears in a bio from an account shown in a screenshot obtained by the Caller, which describes him as “Founder/Ceo of Rock Bottom Publishing LLC.”

Additionally, both the company and Dilley’s book, “Still Breathin’: The Wisdom and Teachings of a Perfectly Flawed Manis,” are listed on BookScouter.com, which identifies Rock Bottom Publishing as the publisher.

Rock Bottom Publishing is also listed as the owner of Dilley’s podcast, “The Dilley Show,” according to the podcast’s website.
