The White House’s official X account shared an edited image of the striking Seattle raccoon, whose photos have gone viral in recent days because he is believed to have a rare genetic condition known as short spine syndrome.
The administration digitally added a pro-Trump hat to Jimothy with the slogan, “Trump Was Right About Everything.”
“Jimothy spotted on the way to Washington D.C.!!” the White House captioned the post.
The image quickly racked up more than 1.3 million views as of early Friday morning.
While Trump supporters predictably praised the post, critics accused the White House of being “cringe” and of ruining Jimothy lore.
