Carrie Prejean Boller, a conservative activist ousted from President Donald Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission earlier this year, spoke Wednesday about her experience leaving the MAGA “cult” as she mulled the idea of joining a third party.
“For far too long, I think we’ve been told — us MAGA conservatives — that we’ve been in a cult. And I sort of feel like I am leaving this cult, because as soon as you think for yourself and have common sense and question the narrative, you’re ostracized,” Prejean Boller said on Piers Morgan’s “Uncensored.”
She named several conservative figures who have faced backlash from Trump after speaking out against him on issues like the war in Iran and the administration’s handling of the Epstein files.
“Look at Tucker Carlson. Look at Thomas Massie. Look at Marjorie Taylor Greene. Look at Candace Owens. Look at myself. You know, as soon as you go against the cult leader — which, I think Trump is the cult leader — then you, all of a sudden, are ostracized from the party,” she said.

Prejean Boller, a former model, lost her position on the Religious Liberty Commission in February following a tense hearing over antisemitism in which she denied that right-wing commentator Candace Owens espoused antisemitic views. The next month, she spoke out against MAGA, calling the movement “dead.”
“I think we, as MAGA conservatives, we still are conservatives. We still hold firm to our principles, but we are no longer a part of this cult,” Prejean Boller said Wednesday.
“I think, you know, it feels like we are coming out of an abusive relationship, that’s just how I feel,” she added.
Her comments come amid Carlson and other ex-Trump loyalists teasing a new third party.
Prejean Boller said while she and others ex-Trump loyalists are “skeptical on jumping into a new relationship with someone new,” she has confidence in Carlson and his allies.
“I think someone like Tucker Carlson, Thomas Massie, Joe Kent, Marjorie Taylor Greene, those are the people that we’re leaning towards,” Prejean Boller said. “Those are the people that we are seeing. Oh, you guys were canceled. You guys were barred, so sign me up. I’m willing to support them.”
