Donald Trump kicked off his second speech in as many days at the GOP’s midterm convention in Dallas on Thursday with a bold claim.
“Less than two years ago, the American people gave us a mandate to save America. And in 19 months, I’ve delivered on every single promise I made, and I think I delivered on far more.”
Trump’s claim that he had “delivered on every single promise” was quickly fact-checked on social media.
Critics pointed to a lengthy list of his still-unfulfilled 2024 campaign vows, including pledges to end inflation, bring Russia’s war on Ukraine to a close, drive down energy prices, and much more.
