Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared on the Today Show this morning and schooled one of their hosts about President Trump’s new White House policy, specifically the banning of CNN, MSNOW, and Politico.
Rubio pointed out, correctly, that it often seems like these outlets are cheerleading for Iran and pushing the talking points of the Iranian regime while questioning and downplaying anything that comes out of the Trump Administration.
He also noted that no one from the administration is trying to close these outlets down, they have simply been told that they can no longer have a desk in the White House.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio defended the Trump administration’s decision to bar three media organizations from the White House, saying in an interview on NBC News’ “TODAY” that President Donald Trump was not closing outlets or arresting reporters.
“We’re not closing CNN,” Rubio said of the ban on CNN, MS NOW and Politico. “There aren’t a bunch of police officers or soldiers kicking down the doors of MSNBC or MS NOW, whatever it’s called, and arresting people and unplugging it from the grid. They’re just not allowed to work from the workspace at the White House.”
In the Tuesday interview, Rubio also addressed the war with Iran, including its impact on oil and gas prices, arguing that if Tehran were allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, it would use the threat to constrain oil shipments and drive prices up even further. He also discussed concerns about the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the need for a developmental framework to maintain the benefits of the technology while lowering the risks…
“What he is arguing is, why should I have these people, what right do they have to be embedded in this building?” Rubio said. “They can cover the White House. They just can’t have a desk there.”

There are many Trump supporters who not only support the new policy, but think it should have happened in the first Trump administration.
CNN, MSNOW, and Politico spent years pushing the lie about Russia collusion, in what was clearly a political strategy aimed at ruining Trump’s presidency by casting doubt in the mind of the public.
They have earned this ban through years of hard work.
