Natalie Harp, a special assistant to Donald Trump whose close relationship with the president has drawn increased scrutiny in recent weeks, heaped praise on him and offered a glimpse into what it’s like to work for his administration in an interview with Washingtonian published online Thursday.
Harp was interviewed for the magazine’s 2026 list of the Washington area’s 300 Most Powerful Women, on which she was featured. Her written answers were emailed to the magazine via White House communications director Steven Cheung, Washingtonian said.
The magazine noted that Harp’s responses, “such as the capitalization and tone,” may “remind you of Trump’s Truth Social posts,” which she helps the president with and has earned her the nickname of the “Human Printer.”
Harp, 35, heaped praise on Trump in one answer, saying he has “the rare gift of seeing something in people that perhaps they don’t see in themselves, male or female, young or old, and then bringing those gifts into focus.”
In another, she said the hardest part of her job is that Washington “does not work at the speed of ‘TRUMP!’”
And asked how she de-stresses or keeps herself “on an even keel,” Harp replied: “Since the epicenter of ‘power’ is not Washington, D.C., but Heaven, every morning I listen to a few chapters of the Bible on audiobook, and pray for God’s wisdom and strength in whatever situations may arise.”
