Charles Barkley admitted he skipped the highly anticipated wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, choosing a day on the golf course instead.
The 63-year-old sports analyst appeared on the July 7 episode of “Unfiltered with Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo,” and revealed that an invitation was extended to him, but he decided to sit this one out. Swift and Kelce were married on July 3.
“I did get an invite, and I politely declined because I thought it was gonna be a crap show,” Barkley told the host.

He went on to say that this wasn’t the only wedding he declined to attend.
“I don’t go to weddings or funerals,” Barkley admitted.
Barkley showed some love for the Kelce family, making it clear that he thought fondly of them but the wedding was just not his scene.
“I love Travis and Jason — I’ve only met Taylor one time — but yeah, I did get an invite but I said ‘hey, you know what, that’s just too much.’”

Barkley opened up about where his heart really lies.
“I just wanna hang out and play golf,” he said. “I don’t wanna dress up and all that other stuff.”
Kelce and Swift were married in a luxurious affair, in front of a star-studded crowd of friends, family, and loved ones — minus Barkley, of course. (RELATED: Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Wedding Was A Cringey, Overblown Ego Trip)
Despite bailing on the big event, Barkley shouted out to the newlyweds with a show of gratitude.
“But I appreciate the invitation,” he said. “It was pretty special.”
