According to the Hobart-Lawrence (Wisconsin) Police Department, per ESPN, Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was placed under arrest Tuesday and hit with multiple charges of domestic violence.

The 28-year-old Jacobs received charges of domestic abuse, intimidation of a victim, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation) and battery (domestic abuse, criminal damage to property).

Jacobs faces a felony with the charge of strangulation and suffocation, while the remaining four charges are classified as misdemeanors, according to Brown County jail records, per ESPN. They also show that Jacobs was booked with no bond. (RELATED: Lawsuit From Former US Olympian Against USA Fencing Over Alleged Transgender Athlete Gets Dismissed)

The alleged domestic violence Saturday that involved Jacobs saw the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department dispatched.

“This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time,” said Hobart-Lawrence PD chief Michael Renkas in a statement, per ESPN.

Jacobs has denied the allegations against him through his lawyers.

“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course,” said lawyers Richard Schonfeld, Clarence Duchac and David Chesnoff in a statement, per ESPN.

According to the Packers, the organization has knowledge of the situation with Jacobs.

“As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment,” said the franchise in a statement, per ESPN.

The NFL stated that they also have knowledge regarding the news surrounding Jacobs and have contacted the Packers.

Tuesday saw the kickoff of OTAs for Green Bay, with head coach Matt LaFleur having media availability scheduled for Wednesday.

Jacobs, who was selected as a first team All-Pro back in 2022 during a run with the Las Vegas Raiders and picked to the Pro Bowl on three occasions, is heading into his third campaign in Green Bay after he signed a free agent deal with the team in 2024. In the 2025 season, Jacobs racked up 14 touchdowns total, with 13 of them coming on the ground. In 15 contests, he rushed for 1,211 yards.
