Nike’s stock has been struggling as of late … could this be a turning point?
Pope Leo XIV, whose real name is Robert Francis Prevost, is by far the coolest pope we’ve ever had. At least in my opinion. Not only is he American, but I fell in love with the guy when I found out how much of a baseball fan he is. (He’s a fan of the Chicago White Sox)
Well, his “cool” just got elevated. In a trailer for a new documentary called ‘Leone a Roma,” which is about the early days of Leo in Rome, a photograph showed the pope wearing a pair of white Nikes under his attire. Originally, people couldn’t figure out what model of Nike he was wearing — all anybody knew was that the shoes had a black Swoosh and white leather. But come to find out, he was wearing the Nike Franchise Low, according to Sole Retriever. To be more precise, the shoes are the Franchise Low Plus, which were dropped in the late 2000s.
But as far as I’m concerned, this is a straight up blessing for Nike.
With the Nike stock being semi-cheap right now at $44.10, this blessing from the pope makes me want to throw a little coin on it.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m just an average guy like everybody else, so I won’t be making much. But the way I’m seeing it, this is free money courtesy of a blessing from the pope, and I’m not turning down free money. As a matter of fact, hold on … *puts $200 on Nike stock* … yep, I just got my free money.
And that shows you how cool the pope is, where he can affect somebody’s stock portfolio — what a boss.
