Police reportedly arrested rapper Kodak Black on a felony charge of drug trafficking Wednesday in central Florida.

An arrest warrant readied by an Orlando police officer said the charge stemmed from a November 2025 probe into reports of gunfire close to Children’s Safety Village on Fairvilla Road, according to Local 10 News. Officers allegedly encountered Kodak Black, real name Bill Kapri, and several other individuals at the scene and discovered suspected narcotics, cash and firearms inside a vehicle, according to the warrant.

Law enforcement said officers smelled burnt cannabis that appeared to be originataing from BMW, and a subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered cannabis and a pink pill that was later determined to be MDMA, Local 10 reported.

Police allegedly found a pink bag holding a substance later the Florida Department of Law Enforcement later determined was 25 grams of MDMA as well as cash ammounting to approximately $37,0oo and documents featuring the rapper’s name. Kodak Black’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told TMZ the star’s apprehension was a coordinated surrender. He asserted that the trafficking charge will be challenged, noting he believes the case has a “weak legal basis.”
