Rock music artist Kid Rock posted a video of himself shooting at cases of Budweiser beer, and it quickly went viral with millions of views.
The performer, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was apparently protesting against the beer brand partnering with transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney.
“Grandpa’s feeling a little frisky today,” said Ritchie on the video. “Let me say something to all of you and be as clear and concise as possible.”
He then fired numerous shots at several cases of Bud Light beer behind him.
“F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch,” he added. “Have a nice day!”
The video has more than 26 million views despite his only having about a million followers on Twitter.
Mulvaney was chosen to contribute to the beer company’s March Madness marketing campaign and included a celebration of the transgender activist’s “365 Days of Girlhood.”
After the partnership sparked a public furor, a spokesperson for Anheuser-Busch defended the actions of the company in a statement to Fox News.
“Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points,” read the statement.
“From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney,” the company added. “This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public.”
Previously, Mulvaney made headlines when the activist was invited to the White House, where President Joe Biden issued his support for the transgender agenda. Vice President Kamala Harris has also used Mulvaney to show her support for the transgender movement.
