The latest episode of Monday Night RAW kicked off with “Brock Lesnar does what he wants” as he viciously attacked Cody Rhodes ahead of WWE Night of Champions.
At Backlash Premium live event, Rhodes defeated Brock Lesnar in their first-ever match-up, awakening the monster inside the latter.
After costing Cody Rhodes an opportunity to fight for the new World Heavyweight Championship and a ferocious promo, Lesnar challenged him for a rematch at Night of Champions, and the latter accepted on last week’s RAW.
Tonight on the red brand, The American Nightmare was smiling and walking backstage when The Beast Incarnate brutally attacked him. Brock Lesnar seemed to have gravely hurt Cody’s hand and wrist when he picked up a large beer barrel and flung it, striking his hand and wrist.

As WWE turned aside from the segment, Paul Heyman appeared in the middle of the ring to hype up what The Bloodline would do at Night of Champions and made it crystal clear that he had zero involvement with what Lesnar did to Rhodes.
It remains to be seen if Cody Rhodes’ hand is injured as per the storyline after Lesnar’s vicious attack.
