Seth Rogen and Jon Stewart are letting loose on Kanye West for attempting a “comeback tour” after years of anti-semitic behavior. At the “Seth Goes Greek” event Wednesday evening at the Netflix Is a Joke festival held at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater, Rogen began to ridicule West and Stewart later unloaded on him as well, according to the Daily Beast.
Rogen called out West for having a song called “Heil Hitler,” and noted that he appeared during Dave Chappelle’s set on Sunday that was also part of the Netflix Is a Joke festival. “What’s funny is I’ve said critical things about Jewish people; I think I got in more trouble than Kanye West did,” Rogen told the audience, “I got a lot of s–t for what I said. I have no number one albums. I sometimes think what Adolf Hitler would think of the Kanye West song ‘Heil Hitler.’ I bet he’d be torn.”
Stewart joined Rogen onstage alongside numerous other comedians, and agreed with his take on West. “But seriously, f— that guy,” said “The Daily Show” host. “He was like, ‘Hitler was misunderstood, we’ve got to forgive Hitler.’ And I’m like, I don’t think I need to listen to anybody who thinks Hitler needs to be forgiven but is still mad at Pete Davidson,” he said. Stewart was referring to West’s infamous feud with Davidson, who dated West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
West was banned from X for posting swastikas and had his website removed for selling swastika t-shirts. He was recently banned from performing in several countries, and in the U.K. the Wireless Festival was completely canceled after he had his entry visa rejected.
