OnlyFans model Michaela Rylaarsdam pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after a man died during a fetish session.
Rylaarsdam, a 32-year-old mother of three, entered her plea under a stipulated four-year sentence in custody, People reported, citing a San Diego County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson. She was originally charged with murder following the death of 56-year-old Michael Dale. Prosecutors said law enforcement discovered him deceased after he met up with Rylaarsdam for a session. Dale allegedly paid Rylaarsdam over $11,000 for fetish play in April 2023 and requested that she wrap him in Saran wrap “like a mummy.”
Prosecutors also claimed he asked for women’s boots to be glued to his feet and for adhesive to be put into his eyes to seal them closed, according to People. Police found Dale unresponsive when they arrived at the scene with a plastic bag atop his head, plastic wrap covering his body and duct tape wrapped around his mouth, face and head, officials said.

He was later declared brain dead at the hospital and removed from life support a few days after, prosecutors said.
The medical examiner determined Dale died from asphyxiation and ruled the manner of death a homicide. The examiner also determined that the bag had allegedly been secured around his head for no less than eight minutes.
Dale’s roommate testified that he overheard Dale requesting that Rylaarsdam stop and claimed he also heard Dale offer to pay her more if she did, according to People.

Escondido Police Department Detective Chris Zack led the investigation and spoke at the preliminary hearing, the outlet reported. He claimed he examined Rylaarsdam’s phone and said Dale requested she glue his eyes shut with Gorilla Glue during a text exchange. Zack alleged that he did not request that a bag be placed over his head.
Zack claimed he found video footage on Rylaarsdam’s phone that appeared to be intended for OnlyFans, along with images allegedly sent to her husband showing Dale wrapped in plastic with a bag over his head. (RELATED: Reality Star Jake Hall Dead At 35 After Reportedly Smashing Head Into Glass Door)
Rylaarsdam’s defense told the court their client called 911 and conducted lifesaving efforts on Dale. They claimed she was present when police showed up.
