Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her post in the Trump administration.

Gabbard shared her resignation letter Friday in a post on X, announcing that she will step down from her role in the Trump administration in order to support her husband as he undergoes treatment for what she described as “an extremely rare form of bone cancer.” (RELATED: CIA Spooks Spied On Tulsi Gabbard’s Team As It Probed Deep State, Whistleblower Alleges)

In the post, Gabbard thanked President Donald Trump for giving her “the opportunity to lead ODNI.”

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half.

In her formal resignation letter, she wrote that she is “deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the last year and a half.”

Gabbard also explained that her husband, Abraham, had “recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer,” adding that he faces “major challenges in the coming weeks and months.” She said that, as a result, she must “step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.” (RELATED: CIA Seized JFK, MKUltra Files Out From Under Tulsi Gabbard: Sources)

The head of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) notified President Donald Trump Friday during a meeting in the Oval Office that her last day as agency head is expected to be June 30, according to a Fox News Digital report.

Gabbard’s formal resignation letter, in which Gabbard says she is “deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the last year and a half.”
