Everybody just needs to leave Jaxson Dart alone.

For years now, we’ve had to deal with left-wing athletes issuing out endorsements and campaigning for politicians in the Democratic Party, and doing so with minimal criticism against them. Jaxson Dart, on the other hand, the New York Giants quarterback who just simply introduced President Donald Trump at a recent rally, has been getting whacked left and right with criticism. Mainly by media types.

Abdul Carter, Dart’s teammate and a linebacker for the Giants, also threw criticism at Dart for his support of Trump, going on to back up his words in an in-face statement to the media. He also stated that there wasn’t any “beef” between the two.

Probably the biggest criticism tossed in Dart’s direction has been regarding his decision and how it would cause division in the locker room. People have said that his teammates will feel so uncomfortable to the point where they’ll no longer want to work with him. Hell, sports media hack Emmanuel Acho even said that Dart’s showing of public support towards Trump was “pretty stupid.”

With that being said, we do have former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib speaking some common sense out here, giving his thoughts on the reality of locker rooms and how they actually operate when it comes to something like politics. And not just that, but his comments are being backed up by Dallas Cowboys legend Dez Bryant.

Talking on “The Arena: Gridiron” podcast, Talib provided an explanation that football rosters feature players that have all kinds of backgrounds and mindsets, and still, they manage to work with each other on a successful note. “It’s so many different upbringings, so many backgrounds in the league,” said Talib. “Man, you got dudes from the hood, from the suburbs, from the country, from the city … You’re going to have different political views. You’re gonna have different religious views. I don’t think it impacts the locker room. They say you’re not supposed to talk about politics. Man, f*ck that. The locker room talk about everything. And you’re gonna had guys who believe something you don’t believe. And you all gonna talk about it. It probably turn to jokes.”

Talib told a story about a former teammate of his, Derek Wolfe, who was a huge supporter of President Trump. He said that even if disagreements were had when it came to politics, they were all in attendance for the wedding of their “brother.”

“In our locker room, we had my dog, Derek Wolfe. He loved Trump. He was adamant about it. He f*cking loved Trump, ‘Trump gon’ do this, and Trump gon’, we used to argue with him, and play around, and laugh, and joke, and at the end of the day, we all was at the wedding. He had married, we’re all up there in Vail at the wedding, kicking it, like, that’s our brother to this day.”

The former cornerback went on to say that’s ultimately the attitude in the locker room — players with different backgrounds uniting to win a Super Bowl. As far as what actually divides locker rooms, Talib pointed to selfishness, like contracts, for example.

“Now if there’s a guy here like, ‘bro, I’m making my cash, I don’t give a f*ck about winning’ … Nah, that’s gonna cause a riff-raff in the locker room.”

On social media, Talib’s comments were backed up by former wide receiver Dez Bryant, with the future Hall of Famer saying, “This is real talk!”

All that, and I guarantee the left-wing media will still feel like they know the locker room better than actual players do.
