Nearly a year after his passing, an investigation into the death of WWE legend Hulk Hogan revealed intimate details about his final moments.
The Clearwater Police Department released a 72-page police report documenting the lead-up to Hogan’s death and the moments after he passed away, TMZ reported. Investigators determined he passed in an attended natural death after suffering a cardiac arrest. His daughter, Brooke, had initially alleged possible foul play in August 2025, but later reversed course after saying she saw his remains and reviewed the 911 call and bodycam video.
Hogan’s caregivers revealed the state of his health on the day of his death.
“[H]e is in rough shape. We knew this was gonna be happening,” occupational therapist Justin McCamey said to a responding officer, according to the reprot.

The report noted that Hogan was “a little mumbly” in the morning, before he suffered a medical emergency and was rushed to hospital.
Hogan had yogurt and berries and was chatting with those around him that morning, according to the report. When McCamey went to take a look at his vitals, he appeared to realize the wrestler was not breathing.
The investigation included interviews with caregivers, the review of surveillance video from within Hogan’s residence and the thorough review of his medical documents, according to the report.
It was previously determined that Hogan was battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a type of blood cancer) along with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm condition) at the time of his death, according to TMZ. The WWE star had not gone public with either health condition.

This brings a close to the questions surrounding the death of one of the most iconic figures in wrestling history. In an early August 2025 interview, Brooke said she had been involved in Hogan’s health issues, but was never told her father faced a cancer diagnosis. She also questioned the lack of an autopsy at the time. Brooke told TMZ that Hogan had received an autopsy and she had seen his body in later that month, noting that she was no longer concerned about possible foul play.
