Dozens of revelers landed in handcuffs after New York Knicks fans flooded Manhattan to celebrate the franchise’s first championship in more than five decades.

Police took 63 people into custody during the overnight unrest, the New York Post reported. Those arrested face counts that include assaulting an officer, illegal gun possession, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, according to the outlet.

The violence left 10 NYPD officers hurt, Fox 5 New York reported. One officer took a punch to the face, while another was hit with a glass bottle, the station said. Police also logged four slashings or stabbings across the night. (RELATED: Taxi Union Forced To Reprimand Fellow New Yorkers After Driver Allegedly Pulled Out Of Car During Violent Celebrations)

Gunfire erupted near 42nd Street and Broadway at roughly 2:01 a.m., an NYPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital. A 17-year-old suffered a single gunshot wound to his left foot and went to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, the spokesperson said. Officers detained three persons of interest and recovered a firearm at the location.

Rioters torched or wrecked five school buses using bats and by climbing on top of them, Fox 5 New York reported. The buses had been ferrying passengers to MetLife Stadium for World Cup matches, the station said. Five police vehicles also sustained heavy damage.

One bus went up in flames on 42nd Street near Eighth Avenue beside the Port Authority Bus Terminal, ABC7 New York reported. Crowds clogged the streets for hours and would not break up, the station said. An ambulance could not reach the wounded teen, so officers drove him to the hospital themselves.

The mayhem followed a milestone win. New York beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 to take the NBA Finals 4-1, its first title since 1973, according to NBA.com. Jalen Brunson scored 45 points and earned Finals MVP. The city scheduled a ticker-tape parade and a City Hall ceremony for Sunday.
