US Attorney Jeanine Pirro snapped at reporters on Wednesday when asked several questions on the reflecting pool charges against former Olympian David Hearn, which were dropped in July.
Pirro, who previously accused Hearn of “violently and forcefully” ripping up the sealant, claimed in a motion that “flawed installation by the contractor,” not vandalism, was responsible for the damage to the sealant.
Trump later slammed Pirro during an Oval Office press conference last month, saying she “choked.” Trump added, “I was disappointed with Jeanine Pirro, really disappointed with Jeanine Pirro. She folded like an umbrella, and people get away with things, and it’s a disgrace.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Pirro went on to convene a special grand jury in a rare move last month amid the clash with President Trump. Still, whether the special grand jury is related to Hearn’s case remains unclear. Reports suggest it is related to DC agencies’ supervision of children.
A judge is now set to hear arguments and decide whether to dismiss the case with or without prejudice. Attorneys for Hearn argue that the case should be dismissed with prejudice so that the government may not charge him again for the vandalism.
During a press conference on Wednesday, where the Justice Department announced action against an illicit Chinese scamming network on Telegram with 650,000 users, Pirro groaned and cut off a reporter who said, “President Trump says he wants you to revisit the reflecting pool cases against David Hearn.”
“Why did I know that was coming? That’s why I didn’t call on you first,” Pirro said before the reporter asked, “Are you going to, and if not, why?”
“Well, first of all, I’m here to talk about one of the biggest problems that American people have right now, and I’m not going to talk about any other issue. I know you’d love to, but I’m not going there,” Pirro said.

Moments later, another reporter began, “I want to ask you about the reflecting pool,” when Pirro shouted back, “No! No and no. Who wants to know about this?”
She continued, “How many times do I have to say no? I am not talking about that. Anyone want to talk about this case?”
When the reporter asked about what she hopes the special grand jury will accomplish, Pirro pointed to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6(e), which prohibits disclosure of matters before a grand jury. “Oh, I can’t wait to talk to you about it, but I can’t. It’s called 6e. You already know it, and you’re trying to get me to say something, and I’m not going to,” she said.
