Melania Trump was — yet again — accused Thursday of being out of touch and giving off “Marie Antoinette vibes.”
As inflation stubbornly refuses to come down and Americans express their displeasure with soaring gas and grocery prices, the first lady decided to share a short video on both her personal and official FLOTUS accounts on X, showing the opulent preparations for the upcoming White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“Every detail considered,” said the post accompanying the largely black-and-white, nine-second clip, which showed just some of the lavish decor.
“An experience thoughtfully conceived and exquisitely realized for our distinguished guests,” it added.
Xi is set to meet face-to-face with Trump next week, following Trump’s trip to Beijing in May. The duo is expected to discuss trade, the Iran war, artificial intelligence and other issues.
