President Donald Trump had the names of two new outlets at the ready when asked Friday what news outlets he might ban next.
After Trump announced he was barring CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey asked about “others to come.”
He said, “Others to come in terms of, uh, fake news? Look, The New York Times is fake news, uh, Washington Post is fake news. They’re crummy papers. Both doing very poorly, by the way, but we’ll see.”
Trump clarified he was not barring the two at this point.
“We’re probably not going to display the paper anymore in the White House, those papers. But we haven’t taken the step of throwin’ ’em out,” he said. “But they’re fake news, totally.”
He then labeled both newspapers “disgusting.”
“New York Times is so fake. Washington Post is disgusting. I mean, they’re disgusting. I don’t get it. Why would they be, you know, we’re doing so well, and they’ll take the most positive story and make it as negative as possible.”
