Bavaria Media Intl., the distribution arm of Bavaria Film Group, has unveiled a slate of scripted shows ahead of TV market Mipcom, including German TV hits “Mordach,” “Home-Made Christmas,” “Fanny’s Extraordinary World” and “Throughout the Years.”

The crime lineup features “Cold Case Diaries,” “Dark Motives,” “Mordach” and “The Wolf Hunt,” while the family-focused content includes “Fanny’s Extraordinary World,” “A Place Called Fatherhood,” “Hearts Along the Baltic Sea,” “Home-Made Christmas” and “Throughout the Years.”

Helge Köhne, head of content sales at Bavaria Media Intl., said, “From talent-led crime titles such as ‘Cold Case Diaries’ and ‘Mordach,’ to proven feel-good and Christmas entertainment ‘Home-Made Christmas,’ and the growing ‘Throughout the Years’ franchise, this new lineup demonstrates the breadth of genre-led content ready for this year’s market, and primed for global audiences. With recognizable talent, strong broadcast performance and stories rooted in universal themes, we are looking forward to introducing Bavaria Media Intl.’s new slate to partners at Mipcom.”

Crime Slate
“Cold Case Diaries”
The new season of “Cold Case Diaries” (2 x 90’), coproduced by Hessischer Rundfunk, Degeto and Sommerhaus Filmproduktion, stars Edin Hasanović (“All Quiet on the Western Front,” “Crap Happens”) as chief inspector Hamza Kulina, alongside Melika Foroutan. The German Film Television Award-nominated series reopens unsolved cases in Frankfurt as chief inspector Hamza Kulina (Edin Hasanović) and department head Maryam Azadi (Melika Foroutan) form a relentless duo, investigating fresh leads through old evidence and facing dangerous resistance to bring to light what was left in the dark.

“Mordach”
Cross-genre crime thriller “Mordach” (2 x 90’), produced by UFA Fiction and coproduced by ARD Degeto Film and ARD, stars Mehmet Kurtuluş (“Zamanın Kapıları,” “O da Bir Şey mi?”) and Gesine Cukrowski (“Hotel Mondial”). When a BKA undercover agent becomes the prime suspect in a murder he cannot remember committing, he is forced to investigate his own case. Combining contemporary urban crime with an atmospheric Alpine mystery, “Mordach” reached 5.7 million viewers when it premiered on ARD, demonstrating strong audience traction for its distinctive genre proposition.

“Dark Motives”
The latest season of “Dark Motives” (11 x 90’), produced by Filmpool Fiction GmbH for MDR, stars Claudia Michelsen (“The Tower,” “Police Call 110”) as its complex female lead. Set against the rough-edged backdrop of the River Elbe, the harbor and Magdeburg’s housing estates, the female-led crime series tackles family conflict, social divides, economic crime and clan structures through cases rooted in contemporary social issues.

“The Wolf Hunt”
“The Wolf Hunt” (one x 90’) produced by U5 Filmproduktion for ARD Degeto, follows Sara Jahnke, a game warden, who is assigned to track a conspicuous she-wolf and, if necessary, to shoot her. The job drags her back to her home village in Brandenburg, a place she left years ago. What begins as wildlife control turns into a crime story when, deep in the forest, she finds a young woman’s body left for scavengers. Sara follows sign and clue, tests loyalties and refuses to look away until the dead are heard and justice is within reach.

Feel Good/Family Slate
“Fanny’s Extraordinary World”
“Fanny’s Extraordinary World” (90’), produced by Neue Schönhauser Filmproduktion for ARD Degeto is a warm, multi-generational family comedy led by acclaimed German actor German Dieter Hallervorden, who plays a charming fraudster Oskar. Fanny, his autistic eight-year-old granddaughter sees the world with bright precision and a sense of wonder. To win her trust, Oskar introduces himself as Professor Krypton instead of admitting he is her long absent grandfather. Combining comedy and emotional depth with neurodiversity representation at its core, the film, which reached over 4 million viewers on its release on ARD, is an uplifting story of family, second chances and connection.

“Home-Made Christmas”
“Home-Made Christmas” (90’) produced by Mafilm for ARD Degeto, is a warm-hearted Christmas TV drama starring “Horst Krause,” best known for the popular “Police Chief Krause” films. Set in the cosy rural community of Schönhorst, the film follows innkeeper Horst as he finds a runaway girl and returns her to a neighboring children’s home, where a chance encounter sets a makeshift family on an unexpected journey towards belonging. Having reached 5 million viewers when the film premiered on ARD and a 17.7% market share, “Home-Made Christmas” is a feel-good Christmas story, primed for family viewing.

“Throughout the Years”
“Throughout the Years” (90’), produced by UFA Fiction, is a star-studded Christmas romance featuring Charly Hübner (“The Lives of Others”), Maria Simon (“The Silent Revolution”), Klaus Steinbacher (“The Ibiza Affair”) and Sinje Irslinger (“We Children from Bahnhof Zoo”). The first instalment reached 3.92 million viewers and a 16.1% market share on German national television, including an 11.3% share among 14-49-year-olds, demonstrating particularly strong younger-audience appeal. Part 2 is planned for Christmas 2026, with Part 3 currently in development.

“A Place Called Fatherhood”
“A Place Called Fatherhood” (90’), produced by Pyjama Pictures GmbH for ARD Degeto, stars David Rott (“Die Toten von Salzburg”) and breakout talent Sabrina Amali (“Dogs of Berlin,” “Skylines”) in a warm, contemporary family drama about co-parenting and the realities of blended families. The story follows high-flying Frankfurt sales professional Jonas, as he re-evaluates his priorities when his daughter Laila asks for more time and closeness. Moving to Hamburg, Jonas discovers A Bed for Dad, a welcoming home for separated parents and their children, where he begins to rediscover the everyday realities of fatherhood.

As a 90-minute format designed for all ages, the story follows Hamburg carpenter Eva Jensen as she heads to the Baltic coast to take over a small woodworking shop, only to find herself caught in a long-standing family conflict and a rivalry with kitesurfer Christian, who is competing for the same workshop.
