Coahuila Registra 79 Muertes de Migrantes en lo que va de 2023

Las autoridades del estado fronterizo de Coahuila han registrado al menos 79 muertes de migrantes desde principios de 2023, ya que la región sigue siendo considerada un punto crítico de inmigración y uno de los corredores de contrabando y trata de personas más activos del país.

El jueves, las fuerzas policiales del estado de Coahuila respondieron a un camino de terracería en la colonia Presidentes en la ciudad de Piedras Negras, al sur de Eagle Pass, Texas. Las fuerzas policiales estaban respondiendo a una llamada al 911 sobre un cuerpo ensangrentado en el suelo, cuando llegaron encontraron un cuerpo en estado de descompocision de un hombre que se cree que es un migrante hondureño, revelaron fuentes policiales de Coahuila a Breitbart Texas.

El cuerpo no presenta signos de violencia, lo que lleva a las autoridades a creer que pudo haber muerto por exposición al alto calor que se ha registrado en la ciudad en los últimos días. Sin embargo, fuentes policiales revelaron que el cuerpo fue entregado a la Fiscalía General del Estado de Coahuila, quien se haría cargo del caso y también estaban a la espera de los resultados de la autopsia.

Funcionarios del estado de Coahuila revelaron que el migrante muerto es el caso número 79 que registran desde principios de año. Las muertes de migrantes incluyen principalmente exposición a los elementos y ahogamientos. Las cifras proporcionadas a Breitbart Texas son ligeramente superiores a las reportadas por la ONG The Missing Migrants Project, que ha registrado 54 muertes de migrantes en Coahuila en 2023, incluidos tres bebés. Las cifras se encuentran en niveles similares a los registrados el año pasado.
