Jacqueline Falk, adopted daughter of the late Peter Falk, died by apparent suicide Monday at the age of 60.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Jacqueline hanged herself inside a residence in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unknown, and it is reportedly unclear whether she left a suicide note. Jacqueline was adopted by legendary “Columbo” actor Peter Falk and his wife, Alyce Mayo, who wed in 1960.

Peter suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia in the 2000s and passed on June 23, 2011 at the age of 83.
