Conor McGregor called for armed guards to be in every school in a messages posted to Twitter on Thursday.
McGregor directly addressed the March 27 tragedy at the Covenant School in which Audrey Hale shot and killed three children and three adults. The UFC star said the shooting in Tennessee could have been stopped much sooner if there was an armed agent inside the school at the time of the attack, according to TMZ. “I would like to see armed protection at each school,” McGregor wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “If she shot her way in to that school from the outside, my guard, who is tucked away, armed and unseen, would have seen her and taken her down. Saving those children’s lives.”
It seems people who can afford it, will always choose to make sure their children are well protected.
Especially those who know a thing or two about violence.
What kind of parent WOULDN’T want that for their most precious possession?
This is what’s common sense. https://t.co/4LxVwtpzjN

McGregor said that armed guards are a necessity in American schools, and shared a personal story to demonstrate how firmly he supports his statement.
“I have had my children at school here while stateside and have had my own armed guard present at the school. This was prior to the most recent school shooting also,” McGregor said, according to TMZ.
The father of three frequently travels to the United States and admits he doesn’t take any chances.
