Fox News host Jessica Tarlov this week warned that President Donald Trump isn’t joking about running again in 2028 and remaining in office past his current term.
Tarlov, often the lone voice of dissent against Trump on the right-wing network’s show “The Five,” appeared on the new MeidasTouch program “On Sunday with Jack Cocchiarella,” and revealed that the president had sent her some Trump 2028 merch for Christmas last year.
“He customized Trump 2028 hats for me, and, you know, said something like, ‘Thank you for your great support,’” she said. “And I get it that it’s funny for a cheap laugh.”
But she’s not about to laugh along with him.
“I happen to think that he will do everything in his power to be able to stick around as long as possible – and certainly if Steve Bannon gets his way,” she added. “So, I’m not really interested in palling around or playing nice.”
Bannon, the former Trump White House chief strategist turned MAGA podcaster, has predicted that Trump will run again ― and win ― despite the fact that the U.S. Constitution forbids him from seeking a third term.

Tarlov said some of her colleagues have told her that if she met the president, she’d love him.
“I have no interest,” she said, later adding that it was “a lot safer” to just stay away from him.
There’s also another reason Tarlov wouldn’t take part in a photo op with Trump.
“I’m not good at faking a smile, frankly,” she said.
Tarlov was on the program to promote her upcoming book, “I Disagree: Winning Arguments Without Losing Friends.”
