Joe Rogan opined on his incredibly popular podcast that the only chance Democrats have to win the Oval Office in 2024 is if President Joe Biden dies “very soon” and someone else steps up.
Rogan made the comments on his show while interviewing his guest, Dave Smith, a stand-up comedian.
“The fact that he’s running again is so wild when you watch him talk,” said Rogan about Biden.
“The fact [is] that there’s no leadership that can find a solution to this, ’cause there’s really no solution,” he continued. “Like, what are they going to do? Other than Biden dying, like, very soon and then someone stepping up in a big way that makes sense.”
Smith pointed out that Biden, at his advanced age, is already past the average life expectancy for the U.S.
“Which is not beyond the realm of possibility,” Smith replied. “He’s older than the average life expectancy, I believe, already. Not saying he will die, but that is possible.”
Rogan theorized that Democrats were trying to figure out a plan for how to get rid of Biden but couldn’t.
“I can’t come up with one,” Rogan said. “I mean, I’m not a political strategist, but, you know, I know the landscape. I know who’s out there.”
Biden will be 82 when his first term ends, and if re-elected he would be 86 years old by the end of his second term.
He went on to point out that perhaps Biden had chosen Kamala Harris as his vice president in order to insure that he would stay on as the Democratic nominee.
“It’s a good move,” Rogan concluded. “You know what it’s kind of like? It’s kind of like those headliner comics who bring terrible openers.”
