The cause of death of “Melrose Place” and “Days Of Our Lives” star Patrick Muldoon was reportedly determined to be a heart attack.
His death certificate revealed Muldoon died of myocardial infraction April 19 at the age of 57, according to People. The certificate named pulmonary embolism and hereditary coagulopathy as underlying contributors. Coagulopathy is a condition that involves issues with how blood clots form in the body, according to The Cleveland Clinic.

Muldoon’s sister, Shanna Muldoon-Zappa, previously told TMZ that the actor had coffee with his girlfriend at their Beverly Hills, California, residence, then proceeded to go for a shower. His girlfriend became concerned when he was gone for a long time, and discovered the beloved actor unconscious on the bathroom floor, Muldoon Zappa said.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and attempted to revive him, but they were unable to do so, according to the sister.

Muldoon was a veteran actor best known for playing Austin Reed on “Days of Our Lives” from 1992-1995, later returning to the role in 2011, according to People. He starred as Matt in “Who’s The Boss,” and had a recurring role on “Saved By The Bell.”
The famous actor shared a post on Instagram just days before his death. He promoted his new crime thriller “Kockroach,” for which he was credited as an executive producer.
