Tom Cruise was piloting a plane Sunday when he accepted his MTV Movie Award for Best Performance in a Movie for the film “Top Gun: Maverick.”
The 60-year old popped up on the screen with his golden popcorn trophy in the co-pilot’s seat of his P-51 Mustang plane as a video of him flying the plane was shown. He showed love and appreciation for his fans in the pre-recorded message.

“Hi, everyone, thank you so much for this award,” Cruise said.
“I make these films for you. I love you. I love entertaining you,” he shouted from the plane.
“How much you enjoy it, how much you appreciate it. There is no better feeling and I hope you enjoy this,” Cruise said.
The actor then seized the opportunity to plug his upcoming film, “Mission Impossible,” to his captive audience.
“I hope you enjoy ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1.’ It’ll be coming out in July,” Cruise said, before promising fans it would be a “wild ride.”
“Have a wonderful summer. Thank you again for letting me entertain you. It’s an absolute privilege,” he said.

The video cut with an image of Cruise maneuvering his plane downward, seemingly planning to land.
The famous actor beat out “Elvis” star Austin Butler, KeKe Palmer from “Nope,” Florence Pugh for the thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” and Micheal B. Jordan for “Creed III,” for his win in this category.
