The SJWs finally got what they wanted.
United States Soccer has pulled in $16 million in winnings from FIFA courtesy of the men’s team getting to the 2026 World Cup round of 16, which saw the Americans suffer a 4-1 defeat against Belgium.
Those winnings will be evenly split between the 26 men and 26 women on each U.S. roster. The 26 women receiving payment will be the ones featured on the 2027 roster for the Women’s World Cup if the United States qualifies. The move comes after approximately six years of the women’s squad having a public fight for more pay, which included a lawsuit against U.S. Soccer.
According to the collective bargaining agreements, United States Soccer gets 20% of the winnings from every World Cup, while 80% is equally split between the men’s and women’s teams. Players who make their respective rosters in each World Cup receive the money. The 40% for each team is $6.4 million, with each player getting $246,153.85.
The USMNT’s World Cup run earned $16M in prize money—but under U.S. Soccer’s equal-pay agreement, next year’s USWNT will receive $6.4M of it.
The federation keeps 20%, with the remaining prize money split evenly between the teams.

They complained for years, and they eventually got what they wanted. Quite frankly, what the U.S. women’s team did is no different from what wives have been doing to their husbands for decades. And let’s keep it a bean here: how on earth can you be proud of money that you had to complain for over and over again?
But whatever, I can’t be too concerned, I’ve got my own wife and her hassling to worry about.
