‘We’re f**king the world’: Jamie Lee Curtis rants about climate change at Comic-Con while promoting climate-themed graphic novel

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis (“Halloween,” “True Lies”) made expletive remarks regarding climate change during an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, when she said that society is “f**king the world,” along with claims that the United States is the “hottest” it’s “ever been.”

Curtis was featured on a panel to promote her horror, environment-themed graphic novel called “Mother Nature” and wasted no time promoting the project’s ecological message, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“We’re f**king the world. There is a possibility of change, but we’re going to have to do it, and I’m really thrilled to see how enthusiastic you guys are for this beautiful piece,” the actress explained.

“It’s happening today!” she went on. “We are the hottest we’ve ever been in this country this week. I mean, talk about good timing. Seriously, we couldn’t be talking about something more important.”

The graphic novel was co-written by Curtis, who described the ongoing argument as a non-partisan one.

“I don’t care what side you’re on. It’s happening, and there are things we can do to ameliorate it and to try to stem the tide, excuse the pun. S**t is happening, and so it feels absolutely on point right now.”

The piece’s other writer, Russell Goldman, described how he was propagandized by Al Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” as a child and has worried about the issue ever since.

“It’s happening right now and there’s a lot of stupid f**ks out there that think it’s not happening right now,” a reporter from IGN said, prompting the writer.

“Yes, and I think that was one of the challenges all three of us faced,” Goldman replied. “I saw ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ when I was like 11 years old, so like the the idea of climate change nightmare scenarios has like been rattling around ever since I’ve had a complex thought,” he explained.

In March 2023, Curtis announced to the “Today” show that she was using they/them pronouns to refer to her Oscar trophy.

“Here they are,” Curtis said, stroking the statue. “In support of my daughter Ruby,” the actress said, “I’m having them be a they/them.”

“I’m gonna just call them them they/them,” she said, adding, “They are doing great.” She also added that “they’re settling in.”

Curtis referred to her “daughter Ruby,” who is actually her son Thomas. Curtis said she and her husband “have watched in wonder and pride as our son became our daughter Ruby.”

Curtis’ son was 25 year old when the actress made the statement.
