Fox News is reportedly beginning “company-wide” layoffs, including of the remaining former employees of Tucker Carlson.
The development was reported by journalist and Carlson-biographer Chadwick Moore on Friday, who published a screenshot of an email informing employees of the impending action.
The email ordered the recipients to turn in all company equipment and their ID badges at 9 p.m. after the conclusion of the show they were working on.
“Security will assist you in exiting the lobby turnstiles since you will have returned your ID badge,” the email read.
One unnamed producer reportedly responded by calling the email “Degrading!”
Moore also reported that Fox News had quietly begun other “company-wide” layoffs at the company.
“Morale miserable across teams on both news and opinion,” said an unnamed producer, according to Moore.
The producer added that shows at the network were receiving “frantic, bipolar guidance almost daily on blacklisted and unblacklisted guests, including sitting members of the Senate.”
The development came on the same day as a highly anticipated presidential forum moderated by Tucker Carlson during which he interviewed many of the Republican candidates. Snippets of exchanges from the summit made headlines throughout the day.
Carlson left Fox News after the cable news network settled a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million in April. He has since accused the network of breach of contract and fraud and gone on to publish a new version of his popular show directly to Twitter.
Fox News did not respond immediately to a request for a comment from TheBlaze.
Moore’s upcoming biography, “Tucker,” will include interviews with Carlson and offer an unprecedented view of the polarizing news figure. It will be released on July 18.
This is a developing story and will be updated with additional information as it becomes available.
