Conor McGregor reportedly rushed out of a funeral home in the United Kingdom on Tuesday, following an alleged incident inside the building.
Video footage allegedly taken outside The Saddle Club in Birkenhead has emerged, and appears to show McGregor storming angrily towards his vehicle. The UFC star had two personal security agents by his side, according to TMZ. They, too, appeared to rush towards a black SUV. McGregor was reportedly attending a funeral for a late family member at the time.
Merseyside Police responded to reports about an altercation at the club at roughly 7:50 p.m., according to the outlet. They arrived on the scene to investigate what might have led to the UFC star’s alleged abrupt exit from the funeral. The 35-year-old appeared visibly upset, and reportedly urged some of the young fans who had gathered around him to move away so he could leave the premises as quickly as possible.
McGregor had seemed happy earlier that day, TMZ reported, citing officials from the club. He shared photographs of himself smiling with other guests at the event, according to images shared by the outlet. However, club officials told TMZ the UFC star “was upset by the actions of certain people attending the funeral” and allegedly decided to exit.
“Mr. McGregor’s security detail decided it necessary to leave to avoid unnecessary speculation and attention,” the officials added. (RELATED: TMZ Releases Video Appearing To Show Interaction Between McGregor And His Accuser)
“Officers attended the pub and spoke to a number of people,” police said in a statement cited by TMZ. “Further enquiries are being carried out to establish what has taken place but at this stage no complaints have been made and nobody has been arrested.”
