Comedian Jim Gaffigan called President Biden a “compassionate father” while arguing that Donald Trump is the more corrupt politician, with his actions leaving “very little doubt” in Gaffigan’s mind that Trump is the “most corrupt” high-ranking official.
On episode #2014 of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan hosted Gaffigan, who spoke about financial and political corruption and remarked that he felt Joe Biden’s corruption paled in comparison to Trump’s.
Gaffigan began by downplaying the level of the Biden administration’s corruption by saying there was “some money” made through influence: “He’s a compassionate father,” Gaffigan began. “Is there some of that, like, you know, ‘let’s make some money with our influence after we left office’ —” he added before Rogan interrupted.
“Or during office, when he was the vice president,” the host said.
“Is there some of that? Yeah,” Gaffigan agreed.
“Seems like there’s a lot of that,” Rogan added.
Gaffigan also compared the issue of classified documents between Trump, Biden, and former Vice President Mike Pence, and said that he believed Trump was the most guilty of wrongdoing, and may have been trying to show off.
“But compared to Trump? Compared to, like, Jared [Kushner] getting a $2 billion contract? Compared to, like, you know, like, even the documents. Like, the documents that, like, Biden had or Pence had, versus, like, Trump literally showing the documents,” Gaffigan said.
“I’m not saying he was selling them, I don’t know if it was, like, a big swinging dick move,” he pontificated.
Gaffigan, who has been an active entertainer since the early 1990s, claimed that if there was a smoking gun he would change his mind, but for the time being he believes Trump to be the most corrupt: “I do want to make clear that I do have the approach … I could find something out and be like, all right. But, like, there is part of me that [has] very little doubt in my mind that Trump is the most corrupt,” he explained.
“I don’t begrudge someone having kind of like a kick ass and take no prisoners kind of attitude. It’s not the style … I think that there’s repeated corruption.”
“But there’s repeated corruption with the Biden administration,” Rogan argued. “The corruption with his son … it’s the clear influence by foreign agents.”
“You don’t think Trump has more corruption?” Gaffigan asked.
“I don’t think there’s evidence the same way there’s evidence right now because of the laptop, and because of the recorded conversations, there’s real evidence that they were getting money from other countries,” the podcaster said.
The pair also discussed the Sam Bankman-Fried scandal, and Gaffigan asked Rogan if he thought the cryptocurrency investor’s alleged corruption was equal to or lesser than Trump’s.
