Aaron Rodgers mocks Travis Kelce over vaccine commercial after New York Jets lose to Kansas City Chiefs

Injured New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers ridiculed another NFL football player over his marketing partnership with a vaccine manufacturer after his team suffered a close loss.

Rodgers was celebrated by vaccine skeptics after he openly opposed the NFL’s vaccine requirements during the pandemic and lockdown. He also lambasted President Joe Biden and corporate policies that shut down dissenting voices about vaccines.

On Tuesday he referred to Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce as “Mr. Pfizer” during his interview on the Pat McAfee Show about the Jets’ latest loss.

“There’s some sentiment that there’s some sort of moral victory out there, that we hung with the champs, and that you know, our defense played well, and Pat [Mahomes] didn’t have a crazy game, and you know, Mr. Pfizer, we kinda shut him down a little bit,” said Rodgers.

“I felt like for the most part, we played really tough on defense, especially for the last three quarters, and that was important for us!” he added.

While he continued to answer the question, McAfee and his co-host were unable to control their laughter over the jab at Kelce.

“The delivery was very solid!” said McAfee about the joke later in the show. “That’s a good joke!”

Rodgers was touted as the key to a winning season for the Jets after he was traded from the Green Bay Packers but those hopes were dashed when he was injured four plays into his first game against the Buffalo Bills. He is recovering from a torn ACL injury and is expected to return next season but Rodgers has hinted that he is wanting to return to the field in the current season.

The Jets lost to the Chiefs in a surprisingly close game of 20 to 23 at their matchup on Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
