Total Nonstop Action Wrestler Xia Brookside stunned fans after sharing a video on Instagram revealing that she had been baptized.
The video, shared on April 26, showed the famous wrestler standing in a baptismal pool next to a man from the church. She stood wearing a blue t-shirt, and the two exchanged words briefly while Brandon Lake’s song “Gratitude” played overtop of the audio.
The man she stood next to applauded her briefly before placing his left arm around her shoulder and used his right hand to hold hers. Brookside plugged her nose and closed her eyes as she leaned back into the water to be baptized.
“A new chapter🙏🏻” she wrote in her caption.
Her caption continued, “Something I’ve been considering for a very long time, after getting consistent in going to church weekly, reading daily and the incredible support from my man, it felt like the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”
“Thank you to everyone that came to support me🩵.”
Brookside’s fans and friends flooded her social media account with touching words of support and congratulatory messages.
Outside of her commitment to her faith, Brookside is the daughter of retired wrestling star Robbie Brookside. She kicked off her professional wrestling career in the United Kingdom and joined WWE in 2018 before moving on to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
