Kid Cudi fired M.I.A. from his Rebel Ragers Tour after she addressed her opposition to illegal immigration on stage.
M.I.A. was one of the openers for Cudi’s tour until a viral May 2 moment in Dallas at the Dos Equis Pavilion triggered backlash among some fans. The singer was booed after her monologue, which included what some called politically-charged content.
“I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter,” she said.
Cudi clapped back by immediately terminating her from the tour, putting an end to all her scheduled appearances with his camp.

Fan-shared video clips also showed M.I.A. addressing Cudi’s fans on stage while saying, “I can’t do illegal, although some of you could be — in the audience,” as she pointed her fingers into the crowd.
Her words quickly circulated online, and far-left fans ginned up social media pushback. This appears to have convinced Cudi to drop M.I.A. from the tour.
“TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A is no longer on this tour,” he wrote on social media.

“I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood,” Cudi wrote May 4 on his Instagram Story.

He continued, “After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants. This, to me, is very disappointing, and I wont have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase.” (RELATED: ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Reveals Mental Health Struggles After Reports Of Concerning Behavior)
