The situation between New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel and former The Athletic reporter Dianna Russini has heated back up, with TMZ Sports reporting that the two allegedly rented a private boat, taking a trip together with just them.

In June 2021, Vrabel and Russini booked the boat in Putnam County, Tennessee, per TMZ Sports citing “a source with direct knowledge,” with the outlet also saying the source reported the two were the only ones on the rental. The trip lasted 2-3 hours. At the time, Vrabel was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. (RELATED: Stefon Diggs Found Not Guilty Of Assault, Strangulation)

Per TMZ Sports, Russini was pregnant with her first child while on the trip.

Obtained by TMZ Sports, documents reveal that Vrabel and Russini allegedly signed the company waiver prior to going to the lake. According to the outlet’s source, there wasn’t any Public Display of Affection (PDA) spotted between the two before leaving.

According to TMZ Sports, Vrabel and Russini were seemingly wary regarding photographs being shot. Vrabel took one picture with staffers, however, he allegedly requested that no photos be shared publicly. Russini, on the other hand, decided not to take any pictures.

Later in the summer, Russini had her first of two children after she married her now-husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, in 2020. Vrabel and his wife, Jen, have been married since 1999, and have two kids together.

One week following the boat trip, Russini published a picture on Instagram of what appeared to be Goldschmidt on a beach in New Jersey, captioning “Lucky to have great people to spend this holiday with this July,” per TMZ Sports.

The drama around Vrabel and Russini began after pictures were taken of the two hanging out at a boutique resort in Arizona. Since that time, photographs have surfaced showing the two in multiple encounters, including in 2024 when they were spotted gambling while at a casino, and in 2020, seen at a bar kissing.
