The Smashing Pumpkins announced “The Rats In A Cage Tour” on Sunday featuring an extensive tour schedule starting in July.

The show will feature “two unique sets” celebrating the 30th anniversary of the famous rock band’s “Mellon Collie” and “Infinite Sadness” albums “plus nearly four decades of gits and dark treasures,” according to a statement issued Sunday on their official Instagram page. The tour was first revealed Sunday during their “A Funeral for Zero” livestream, Revolver reported.

“Staging a Mellon Collie-themed show is something we’ve discussed for over a decade, and finally the stars have aligned and exactly on the terms I’d set: which was to build a special night around its most enduring aspirations and ideas,” frontman Billy Corgan said in a statement.

Corgan said the first set of the night exclusively showcases Mellon Collie songs “in a highly theatrical setting.” The Smashing Pumpkins’ second set will include songs from the group’s 1991 debut album “Gish” as well as music from 2024’s “Aghori Mhori Mei.”

The band shared a teaser video alongside the concert announcement on social media, promising fans “unruly hits and dark treasures.”

The “Rats in a Cage” tour kicks off Sept. 30 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, and makes stops across the U.S., according to the band’s website. The first Canadian performance is in October. The many stops include Boston, Baltimore, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Tampa, Nashville and Oklahoma to name a few, and the grand finale closes off the tour with two stops in California in November.

Fans can purchase tickets beginning May 21, according to Revolver. (RELATED: REPORT: Shakira Cleared In $69 Million Tax Fraud Case)

The Smashing Pumpkins’ Instagram page exploded with excitement and requests for additional tour stops by eager fans. It’s unclear if the band will add additional dates or locations based on demand.

The group’s greatest hits include Siva, Rhinoceros, Drown, Cherub Rock, Today, Disarm and Landslide.
