Ready to get rocked, lefties?
Already up against a six-game losing streak, and the Republicans potentially getting a massive bat for their roster, things are getting tense for the Democratic Party going into the upcoming Congressional Baseball Game. The contest takes place at Nationals Park.
Texas Republican Mark Teixeira, a former great for the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers who is placed 58th on Major League Baseball’s all-time home run list with 409, is anticipated to win a Congress seat in November, and easily at that. If he wins, he’ll be able to play for the GOP in the 2027 edition of the game.
Well, despite that possible situation not happening until next year, and the Democrats having another game to worry about Wednesday against a Teixeira-less Republican squad, the donkey party is already strategizing how they’re going to handle Big Tex. “We’re just going to walk him every time we have an opportunity,” said Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) while speaking with The Hill. “We need to draft a major league baseball player to come and play for us.”
Teixeira, 46, states that competitive baseball hasn’t been in his life for almost 10 years, but that he’s ready to get back to it.
“I’m excited about knocking off the rust — then beating the Democrats on and off the field,” wrote Tex on Twitter.

Hell, at this point, I don’t think the Democrats ever win another Congressional Baseball Game again.
