Singer Lauren Bennett, who was featured on LMFAO’s 2011 smash hit “Party Rock Anthem,” died at the age of 37.

Bennett’s former girl group, G.R.L. released a statement Monday on Instagram.

“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” they wrote.

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us.”

G.R.L. members Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula van Oppen went on to say they “will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us.”

Bennett’s cause of death was not disclosed.

Bennett was just 18 years old when she began her career in entertainment as part of the Paradiso Girls in 2007, according to TMZ. The group dropped their debut single “Patron Tequila” in 2009. By 2010, she was following her dreams of a solo career and worked alongside music greats CeeLo Green and Will I.Am. Bennett was featured in LMFAO’s 2011 hit “Party Rock Anthem,” which rose to the top of the music charts across the globe in 2011.

The popular singer later became a member of G.R.L. and pumped out singles “Vacation” and “Lighthouse.” Her bandmate Simone Battle died by suicide during the band’s rise to fame. The girls ultimately went their separate ways in 2015.

Bennett released “Hurricane” in 2016, and revealed the single was inspired by the mental health struggles of those around her, including her mother.

G.R.L.’s statement continued, “Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.”

Bennett’s official cause of death and the circumstances leading up to her tragic passing were not made public.

She is survived by her six-year-old daughter, Harlow, The Independent reported.
