During a campaign speech on Sunday, the Georgia Democrat laid into the president’s lackadaisical performance on the war on Iran and his recent habit of sleeping through meetings.
But Ossoff’s quip about aide Natalie Harp, who joined Trump’s staff in 2022 and has become a close presence to Trump, is the one that went viral.
“He doesn’t want to do the job,” Ossoff said. “He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.”
Harp’s close relationship with the president has been noted for a while.
The New York Times in 2024 reported that Harp has written messages to Trump that include statements such as “You are all that matters to me” and “I want to bring you joy.”
Ossoff’s crack at Trump apparently bugged Cheung, who has a reputation for scorched-Earth social media posts bordering on the unhinged.
In case you’re wondering, yes, Cheung’s response to Ossoff’s Trump digs was definitely on brand.
“Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics,” he wrote. “Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he’s a miserable person who hates this country. It’s because he’s a radical, extremist Dumocrat.”
JS reached out to Ossoff’s campaign for comment, but no one immediately responded.
But, of course, there was social media scuttlebutt to Cheung’s post.
On Monday afternoon, a reporter asked Trump about Ossoff’s remarks.
As the clip below shows, the president referred to the Senator as “Pee-wee Herman” before he changed the subject to the White House ballroom.
