Michael named his mother, Katherine Jackson, as the legal guardian of his children after his divorce from Rowe. Following his death in 2009, she was granted custody of them.
At the time of Michael’s passing, Paris reportedly began asking about her mother and got answers that were “sufficient’ for her. However, she did not meet Rowe until she was 15.
“I remember coming downstairs, and she was in the living room with my grandma. I came in, and I was just like, ‘Hey, mom.’ And she was like, ‘Hi.’ I sat down, we talked for a second, and then we went out for the day and just hung out,” Paris recalled on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
The zombies in love singer continued, “She’s a [Sagittarius], so she’s got the fire, and I’m an Aries, so I got the fire. We’re very similar.”
In the years since their first meeting, the mom-and-daughter tandem’s relationship has reportedly gotten “more refined.”
