President Donald Trump posted dozens of messages in a daylong social media spree Sunday that included a call to change the name of a U.S. state.
“Many people suggested changing the name of New Mexico, one of the great vote cheating states of all time, to NEW AMERICA,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “So much more prestigious and beautiful for the people of that potentially incredible State. Wow, I Love It!!!”
He shared an AI video of himself changing the name, then dancing to the Village People’s “Y.M.C.A.”
Trump ― who has tried to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and Lake Ontario to Lake America ― also shared a map of the state with the name change:
And that was just a small part of his day on social media.
Between 9:10 a.m. and 10:35 p.m., the president fired off more than 60 messages, links, memes, rants, personal attacks, endorsements, boasts and AI slop creations.
He posted a video showing off his golf swing. He attacked Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) as “dingbat” and mocked her for “crying uncontrollably” after the death of her husband in 2019.
And he posted an image of himself as late pro wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan:
Trump also had several out-of-this-world messages, including one presenting a potential new uniform for the U.S. Space Force that critics said looked more like the evil Imperial uniform from the “Star Wars” movies.
He posted an image of himself nuking the Earth from orbit in some kind of Space Force space station, along with several images of himself with giant robot bodyguards.
And the president also posted an image declaring U.S. ownership of the moon:
He attacked Canada, several times. He attacked Iran, lots of times. He mocked Democrats, accused other countries of “cheating” the United States, and shared a couple of AI slop pics of himself chilling with George Washington.
Trump also bragged about making billions in stock trades ― amid allegations of corrupt trading practices ― but said it was “for the U.S.A., not myself.”
Nearly every Trump posting spree also includes at least one attack on a celebrity, and Sunday was no exception as the president went after screen icon Robert De Niro with an AI-altered pic:
