Kimmel warned that Trump, who frequently rails about supposedly “stolen” elections, has something up his sleeve for November’s midterms.
“He’s trying every trick to try to steal it himself,” Kimmel said. “The Supreme Court foiled his plan to stop mail-in voting. So, now he’s offering $5,000 to every adult if the Republicans win – only if they win – which is crazy. Also crazy: The idea that he would give us our own money as some kind of a gift.”
Kimmel then played clips of Trump making similar claims before, including the $2,000 tariff dividend he promised last year, but never delivered.
“I think we all, those of us who did not vote for Donald Trump, assumed he would be even worse the second time around,” Kimmel said. “But even I had no idea he would be this bad.”
That led Kimmel to ask his audience: “Has anyone ever done a worse job with anything?”
The audience fired back immediately with a single loud word: “No!”
“Kitty and José Menendez did a better job of parenting their boys than Donald Trump has running this country,” Kimmel said, referring to the parents of Lyle and Erik Menendez. The brothers are serving life sentences for killing their parents.
