A nurse in Canada is trying to understand what her trail camera caught when she left it pointed at a deer carcass on her property in order to capture wildlife.
36-year-old Corinea Stanhope told Kennedy News that she had been riding her horse on her property when she discovered the carcass of a deer. After she and her grandfather set up a camera and checked the video later, she was stunned to see what appeared to be two nearly naked figures hovering over the carcass.
“I don’t know what the heck was up with that,” said Stanhope. “It really freaked us out, it’s not something you see every day.”
At least one of the figures appears to be a woman, and they have rags covering their private areas.
“It looks like they have wigs on,” said Stanhope. “One looks like she has blonde hair underneath.”
One still image from the video appeared to show one of the two holding the hoof of the deer to her face.
“I don’t know if she was kissing it, smelling or eating it but to touch a decaying carcass like that makes me feel sick,” added Stanhope.
She said the camera also caught a bobcat near the carcass.
Commentators online have opined that the two people could be ghostly spirits, satanic cult members, or witches.
Stanhope says she hopes the incident was a prank, and she has not contacted authorities about the video because her grandfather pointed out that the people didn’t do anything “technically” illegal.
“I’m hoping they went for a walk in the day, saw the trail cam was set up and wanted to have a bit of fun with us or they’re on some good drugs,” she concluded.
