Famous director Taika Waititi revealed to Vogue in August that his wife, pop star Rita Ora, actually proposed to him.
Ora, 32, popped the question to Waititi, 47, in 2022, during a summer vacation to Palm Springs, according to the interview in Vogue. “She proposed to me, and I said ‘yes’ instantly,” Waititi revealed.
The power couple then tied the knot just a few weeks later in an impromptu ceremony at the home they share in Los Angeles. “There were about eight people there — just close friends and family, and parents on Zoom,” he continued.

“It was really us and my sister, Elena,” Ora added. Ora wore a Tom Ford dress, straight off the rack, which just happened to be her perfect size (which literally never happens so this whole wedding sounds like it was meant to be).
The couple first met back in 2018 when Ora showed up at a cookout hosted by the “Jojo Rabbit” director at his home. They started dating half-way through the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, when they were both filming in Australia. (RELATED: Hulk Hogan Announces Major Life Update In Worst Possible Place)
Pictures of Ora and Waititi making out with actress Tessa Thompson went viral in 2021, getting Waititi in a bit of trouble with Marvel bosses, reports suggested at the time. Waititi is a major player in the entertainment industry, having worked on a slew of hugely successful superhero movies, as well as indie cult classics like “What We Do In The Shadows.”
